Tamboran Darwin Salties

Tamboran is thrilled to be partnering with the Northern Territory’s most exciting sports club, the Tamboran Darwin Salties, to deliver local basketball opportunities for young Territorians.

This partnership is consistent with Tamboran’s goal to be an integral part of the NT community which creates new opportunities for all Territorians.

Together with the Salties, we’re supporting grassroots initiatives which foster talent and fuel the ambition of young players to reach the highest levels of Australian basketball, in the NBL and beyond.

This means young basketballers from the Territory who want to hone and even pursue a career in their sport do not have to leave the NT to make their dreams a reality.”

The Dolphins NRL

As part of Tamboran’s partnership with the Dolphins, the club will travel to Katherine and surrounding communities each year to hold youth clinics and Fan Days in a bid to grow the game in remote areas of the Territory. These workshops will include visits from Dolphins NRL squad members and its ‘super coach’ Wayne Bennett, bringing the NRL club into some of Australia’s most remote indigenous communities.

Dolphins NRL Club CEO Terry Reader said the deal between the Dolphins and Tamboran made sense for both the Club and development of rugby league in the top end.

“The Dolphins see this Tamboran partnership as strategic opportunity for growing NT rugby league participation and as a logical extension of our participation catchment that extends from South East Queensland and right through Central Queensland. We look forward to working with Tamboran to ensure young girls and boys in the Territory have every opportunity to enter our development programs and to introduce them to the Dolphins and encourage them to become part of our new fanbase.”

Elliott Hawks & Elliott Hawkettes

Tamboran is a proud sponsor of the Elliott Hawks and the Elliott Hawkettes in the Northern Territory’s AFL Barkly league. All of Tamboran’s operations are in the Northern Territory and we are focused on investing in programs and activities that contribute to our local communities. Sponsoring the Elliott Hawks and Hawkettes is an example of Tamboran partnering with our local community in Elliott and contributing to the social and sports programs in the Northern Territory.
